My World Tour: Rabbit Shearing - New Zealand |
Back to Home Page to New Zealand Main Page
Ok, I know what you're thinking, these kiwis have gone too far! Shearing a poor little bunny wabbit and stringing him up on a bungee cord is mean. Well, this is where angora sweaters really come from. This fur is incredibly soft, and these bunnies have been bred for the fur. If they don't get a 6 month trim, they will die of heat (these bunnies are kept in air conditioned rooms anyway). They've been conditioned to look forward to it, because afterwards they'll feel cool, and frisky, so they're allowed to go mate, well, ya' know, like rabbits. We see the nuttiest things while traveling!
