Landing in New Zealand from Australia, we were lucky to catch the last 2 races of the America's Cup yacht racing. The Kiwis had won the cup the past 2 times and were defending it. This is a BIG deal in NZ. Sailing and rugby are what the country eats and sleeps. It was a fabulous event.
| Unfortunately for the Kiwi team, the mast snapped right in 2 during one of the races. This is the boat coming into the harbor. Pretty cool to see the broken boat, but a bummer of a day for our Kiwi friends. |
